On Monday, August 21st when the moon passes between the earth and the sun the United States will experience a total Solar Eclipse. Beginning at 9:03 – 11:37 AM The Great American Solar Eclipse as it has been named will speed across the states at 1700 mph. Though the physical eclipse will be over in a matter of hours the affects will be felt for months to come. Long-term success through bold and confident changes is on the horizon following this eclipse season. The good news is that with determination and sustained effort you will have the happiness and success you desire.

According to Jyotish and Vedic Astrologers, a solar eclipse is an inauspicious time when we need to stay inside but perform spiritual practices. New Moon Solar Eclipse Meaning

Like a new moon is the beginning of a new cycle and the ending of the old, an eclipse cycle also marks a completion encompassing six months rather than just four weeks. Monday’s eclipse will impact us until the next lunar eclipse in January 2018. The greatest aspect of this cycle is the Sun conjunct the Moon. All possibilities are available with which we can recover, renew with plans for your future. Old habits, patterns, and beliefs can be questioned especially with the Mercury Retrograde currently active. It is a great time to journal, plan a fresh start, or write your priority list. Community is important for us all. Look for opportunities to be with friends, family and have some fun, give to you and use this opportunity to turn inward.

Emotions Rising To Be Cleared

Eclipses come in pairs. Just two weeks ago we experienced a Lunar eclipse while this coming Monday, August 21st the United States will experience a total solar eclipse. Without realizing it most of us have been impacted in some way by these planetary shifts. Eclipses are said in Vedic Astrology to accelerate social evolution through agitation, chaos, and conflict. Repressed feelings that have not been recognized are coming to light with this eclipse. Racial discrimination, bigotry, and inequality are being unearthed and recognized. Many of us have experienced fatigue, irritability, depression, anger, sadness, grief, unrest, conflict, challenges of loss as the old is revealed and healed preparing for rebirth. Meditation, quietude, and rest will help us all to process through the challenges that surface during the next days, and weeks.

Monday’s eclipse is in Regulus, “The Throne of Kings,” also the heart of Leo, which also resides in President Trump’s astrological chart could increase his power as well as the unrest. There is much speculation about the eclipse bringing more problems for President Trump who is already flailing or recharge and reboot his power. Great change for the United States government through nationalistic and racial pride through is aspected.

Interesting To Note:

  • the last total solar eclipse in the United States was 99 years ago in 1918
  • this eclipse begins in Government Point
  • the eclipse is in Regulus which was aspected at the time of Donal Trump’s birth

Vedic Astrologers recommend closing the shades and staying indoors. I have even heard that being outside to see the eclipse could cause bacterial infections due to the lack of sun during the eclipse. Time will tell how accurate the Incas and Mayans were about the great change heading our way. No matter where you view the eclipse from stay safe and wear eye protection to avoid damage to the eyes.
