Do you know what I do in my spare time when I am not writing? You all know I love sex. Not just sex, but slow, soul touching connection that moves me. There are other things I enjoy as well. I enjoy laughing! Laughter is a great way to reduce stress. Laughter is good for the soul and can heal the body and mind. I recommend that couples watch comedians together. 

I have a few that I love to watch and I don’t care who’s with me, I laugh out loud! Belly laughter is good for you. In fact, laughter can relieve so much stress that you sleep better at night. There are other benefits to laughter. It can improve your sex life. Seriously!

Scientists have recently proven the fastest way to fix a lagging sex life is through laughter. Why? When we begin to laugh we let our plastic face mask down. We let down our guard. Do you know what else? Our bellies move and we begin to let go of all those pre-conceived notions about the things that haven’t been done! Laughter is healing for the soul. Laughter gets you in touch with your body and brings you into the present. 

The Scientific Reason Laughter Is Great For Sex

Laughter boosts nitric oxide. Watching a comedy, or a comedian that is upbeat and makes you laugh causes your body to produce nitric oxide. This little but powerful molecule expands blood vessels. This is crucial for men as it increases blood flow. Healthy blood flow is important for strong and long-lasting erections.

The blood vessel lining, which is called the endothelium creates nitric oxide. It sounds like the gas your dentist might use, but they are different. Laughing gas or nitrous oxide are two very different things. 

When your endothelium is enjoying activities that increase heart-health, nitric oxide production increased. This is good to know. The added benefit of heart-healthy activities like laughter, exercise, and food that increase nitric oxide is that plaque is also reduced. Now go watch a comedian.

I have to mention that recently some doctors that must have been on crack said beets were bad for us. Not true.
